What you will do in this role:
--- The Cardiac Cath Lab RN is an individual who, after comprehensive training, is qualified to function as a scrub assistant, circulating RN or monitoring person and assist with the daily operational and business needs of the lab.----- The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.----- This person is able to coordinate communication between all involved modalities in daily practice.----- Pre-screens patients and/or families to augment the procedural process.----- Must be able to recognize, report and document abnormal and/or critical screening values.----- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.----- Educates patients and families.----- Involvement in performance improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.--Qualifications What qualifications you will need:
--- Must be a Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing and licensed in the State of Texas--- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification--- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification--- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and previous cardiovascular and 2 years critical care experience is required--- RCIS is preferred
