services.What you will do in this role:
- The Cardiac Cath Lab RN is an individual who, after
comprehensive training, is qualified to function as a scrub
assistant, circulating RN or monitoring person and assist with the
daily operational and business needs of the lab.
- The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the
scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
- This person is able to coordinate communication between all
involved modalities in daily practice.
- Pre-screens patients and/or families to augment the procedural
- Must be able to recognize, report and document abnormal and/or
critical screening values.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Educates patients and families.
- Involvement in performance improvement activities to ensure
continuous quality improvement.Qualifications
What qualifications you will need:
- Must be a Graduate of an accredited School of Professional
Nursing and licensed in the State of Texas
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life
Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life
Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and previous
cardiovascular and 2 years critical care experience is
- RCIS is preferred
