Brownsville, TX Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab Founded as
Valley Community Hospital in 1975, Valley Regional Medical Center

is a 214 Licensed Bed Facility with over 200 physicians
representing over 25 specialties; Valley Regional Medical Center is
a leader in a vast array of high quality inpatient and outpatient
programs and services. What you will do in this role: --- The
Cardiac Cath Lab RN is an individual who, after comprehensive
training, is qualified to function as a scrub assistant,
circulating RN or monitoring person and assist with the daily
operational and business needs of the lab. --- The Registered Nurse
performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered
Nurse Practice Act. --- This person is able to coordinate
communication between all involved modalities in daily practice.
--- Pre-screens patients and/or families to augment the procedural
process. --- Must be able to recognize, report and document
abnormal and/or critical screening values. --- Maintains a safe and
therapeutic environment. --- Educates patients and families. ---
Involvement in performance improvement activities to ensure
continuous quality improvement.
--- Must be a Graduate of an accredited School of Professional
Nursing and licensed in the State of Texas --- American Red Cross
or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or
BLCLS) and Certification --- American Red Cross or American Heart
Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and
Certification --- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and previous
cardiovascular and 2 years critical care experience is required ---
RCIS is preferred
