of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC,
ENPC, CPI Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be
considered for the role. Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent
Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting. Current
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. Strong triage and
critical thinking skills are essential. Experience with trauma and
cardiac alerts, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
patients. Description: This position is for an RN in the Emergency
Department. The unit has 22 beds and 55 staff members. Patient
ratios are 4:1. The documentation system used is Meditech. Typical
procedures performed in this unit include IV insertion, medication
administration, and EKGs. Staff participate in moderate sedation
for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion. RNs assist with
intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response. Care
is provided for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral
health patients. Transport preparation and coordination for higher
levels of care are required. Triage assessment and prioritization
are based on ESI guidelines. Employees must adhere to isolation and
infection control protocols. Documentation and reassessment occur
in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is team-oriented
with a strong work ethic and accountability. Punctuality and
reliability are essential. Compassionate care and excellent
