Summary The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering
prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients under direct
supervision. This role requires precise patient positioning,
accurate dose delivery, and strong patient care skills. The
position supports clinical operations and contributes to a safe,
efficient, and patient-centered treatment environment. New
graduates are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Deliver and
document radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the
radiation oncologist Accurately position patients to align
radiation beams with designated tumor volumes Enter and maintain
patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record
Assist with patient scheduling and ensure accurate billing
documentation Fabricate treatment blocks and custom immobilization
molds when required Perform simple monitor unit (MU) calculations
Interpret computerized radiation treatment plans Monitor patients
during treatment and report any unusual reactions Maintain a clean,
safe, and organized treatment environment Participate in clinical
instruction of new staff and students Adhere to safety standards,
compliance guidelines, and professional ethics Required
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy
Technology program ARRT certification required Valid state license
for Radiation Therapy 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates
will be considered Authorization to work in the United States
Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, walk, and reach throughout
the workday Manual dexterity for handling equipment and patient
positioning Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally
Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges Work Environment
Clinical radiation oncology setting Compliance with radiation
safety and infection control protocols Reasonable accommodations
