Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional HR Director, the Regional Human Resources
Manager will act as the regional "face" of human resources
providing direct support to their assigned lines of business to
deliver service and execute the organization's HR strategy. The
Regional Human Resources Manager will support the Regional HR
Director with planning, directing, and coordinating human resource
management initiatives. Requires a solid understanding of business
operations. In-state and out of state travel is required and at
times is frequent depending on business need.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Regional HR Director to help develop, design
and implement policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines to
support the alignment of the workforce with the organization's
strategic goals.
Maintain human resources policies and procedures to ensure they are
current, relevant and supporting the needs of the organization,
while also complying with the appropriate federal, state, and local
laws. Conduct review on annual basis, and recommend changes as
needed to the Regional HR Director.
Ensure the availability and training of appropriate staff resources
and talent to meet business needs.
Conduct a continuing study of business policies, programs, and
practices to keep management informed of new local, state, and
federal developments.
Working under limited supervision using standardized practices
and/or methods; directing other persons within a department and/or
across several small work units; and monitoring budget
expenditures.
Other Functions
Provide support and back-up to Human Resource Department as
needed.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential
tasks as assigned.
Facilitates improvement processes regarding team performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business
Management or related field, or 6-8 years of experience as an HR
Generalist with at least 5 years in a leadership/supervisory
role.
Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and solid working
relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the
organization.
Must be able to think strategically and view the business from a
general management standpoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to
make formal presentations in front of large audiences as
needed.
Ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle
adversity and frequent change, and balance workload with multiple
and competing priorities.
Customer-service focus, with demonstrated experience dealing
successfully with front-line internal and external customers.
Experience in administering human resources policies, programs and
practices: including planning, organizing, developing,
implementing, coordinating, and directing.
Preferred
PHR/SHRM certification from Human Resources Certification
Institute, or Society for Human Resource Management.
Prior experience with non-profit/social services organizations.
Master's Degree in HR management or related field.
