Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: Interfaces between the customers while being involved in any area related to our sales offerings. Ensures the completeness of all product supply and service programs proved to the customer by Airgas USA, LLC. Markets and sells company products to business and industrial establishments at customer's place of business by performing the following duties.


* Submits sales activity report, including weekly itineraries and other reports as requested, to District Manager on a regular schedule. * Streamline and manage the order and error resolution processes while demonstrating the ability to communicate with a diverse group of people. * Actively manages ordering process, including checking customer inventory, visiting cylinder storage areas, vending machines, scheduling deliveries, and forecasting area usage. * Performs periodic maintenance on customer equipment such as vending machines, and repairs or replace system components of equipment installed at the customer site. * Assists in the development and maintenance of site-specific SOP's for vending and other vendor-managed inventory locations. * Helps monitor and maintain the product inventory needed to service the needs of assigned customers; conducts a physical inventory and cycle counts. * Receive, physically place products into inventory, and pull orders for delivery to the end-user. * Work with functional product sales specialists (safety, bulk, specialty gas, medical) to grow sales within assigned accounts. * Travels throughout assigned territory to call on assigned customers to solicit orders or performs the same with customers by phone. * Displays or demonstrates products to customers and emphasizes features and value to the end-user. * Acts as liaison between customer and company with regard to pricing, products, delivery information, payments, service, and inquiries. * Ensures that customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc. are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary. * Completes and submits sales-related paperwork, including call reports, cylinder audits, month-end reports, expense reports, mileage reports, etc., accurately and in a timely manner. * Provides market and competitor information to supervisor. * Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment; makes deliveries in a company vehicle. * Works safely and meets the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company. * Other duties may be assigned.

* Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous industry experience preferred. * Must be able to work with SAP, Google platform programs, including Docs and Sheets.


* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. * Must be a clear and effective communicator with a wide range of individuals - good listener.


* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. * Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
