The Lifeguard/Swimming Instructor is responsible to teach basic
and advanced levels of swimming techniques and ensure the safety of
the swimmers at the pool. To monitor and maintain safety within the
pool area. It is responsible for administering first aid, and
instructing swim classes, supervising the swimmers, maintaining the
pool area. The Lifeguard/Swimming Instructor works according to set
procedures under direct supervision.
- Lifeguarding CPR/AED First Aid Certification or able to obtain
- Requires a High School diploma or GED and/or vocational
Performs light work that involves walking or standing most of
the time and involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a
regular and recurring basis, or skill, adeptness and speed in the
use of fingers, hands or limbs on repetitive operation electronic
office machines or tools within moderate tolerances or limits of
accuracy. The job risks exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals and
extreme heat and/or cold.
