Vice President (VP) Business Development

Valley Regional Medical Center is a 214 Licensed Bed Facility with over 200 physicians representing over 25 specialties; Valley Regional Medical Center is a leader in a vast array of high quality inpatient and outpatient programs and services.

What you will do in this role:

  • Supports the direction as it pertains to business/service line development, marketing, physician relations, and community outreach for a defined geographic area within the division.
  • Accountable for leading the targeted growth initiatives, service line development, physician group development and physician group development and new business development.
  • Maintains awareness of the current and potential competitive forces in the marketplace and ensures that the entity has an active and continuous plan that meets the overall strategic objectives.
  • Ensures that all legal and statutory requirements are met.
  • Collaborates with the division Physician Sales Team and leaders in the rural growth and service lines to execute key growth strategies.
  • Collaboration with Business Analytics and Planning team to monitor and understand current performance and potential opportunities.
  • Creates business plans, presentations and conducts financial analysis of key initiatives.
  • Contributes to the organization's three pillars of success: Exceptional Clinical Organization, Unparalleled Service Organization, and Consistent Stewardship.
  • Initiates development projects in conjunction with business plan strategies and/or new opportunities that are identified after the business plan is finalized.

Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

  • Master's degree in Healthcare and/or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum of five years in business, marketing or healthcare management.
