Our benefit offerings are reflective of this unique blend of Life, Work and Family .PURPOSE STATEMENTUnder the direction of the Refrigeration manager, this position will help manage all aspects of the PSM/RMP programs for the Ammonia Refrigeration System in the Brownsville facility. In addition, this position will help manage all other compliance activity related to Storm Water and Waste Water regulation. Lastly, the individual will contribute to capital projects management and/or execution. The workforce is becoming a TPM workforce, so a commitment servant leadership is important and will be part of your daily work.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMESWith collaboration of the refrigeration manager, manage the ammonia PSM/RMP program and all associated OSHA/EPA and local requirements.Work with the Utility company to ensure compliance of Storm Water and Waste Water discharge requirementsWork with engineering to execute new capital projectsEnsure availability of work tools, machine, and other necessary equipment required for the performance of job dutiesConduct periodic inspections to ensure the efficient performance of work equipment and systemsPrepare cost estimates required for operations, labor, and materials when requiredMaintain documentation and proper records of work operations and decisions takenMentor and motivate technical staff to deliver timely and high-quality services to customersEnsure technical operators comply with set health/safety policies and proceduresKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEThree (3) years experience in maintenance or operations in food and/or dairy processing. Minimum Associates degree in technical area (refrigeration, electronics, controls, etc..) Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems, process controls, and instrumentation required. Must have experience in working with regulatory agencies, i.e.; water, utilities, and environmental. Excellent communications skills, assertive and consultative management style – willing to be a leader, capable of multiple tasks simultaneously,PC literate in spreadsheet, word processing, scheduling, and CAD. Familiarity with all engineering disciplines. Knowledgeable of plant operations.
