Job Description:

**I. Job Summary**
This position performs tasks involving physical labor primarily
performed in confined spaces at various locations as assigned by
the Project Manager primarily inside above the ground storage
tanks.
**II. Duties and Responsibilities**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be
assigned.
+ Transfers tank bottoms to another tank or into pipeline
+ Blends heavy paraffin or asphaltic type tank bottoms with crude
oil, as the tank is being cleaned, and pumping the blended mix back
into line or tank
+ Removes of floats roof seals
+ Raises and cribs collapsed floating roofs
+ Re-positions roof support legs on internal floating roof tanks
while in service
+ Removes of collapses aluminum internal floating roofs
**III. Supervisory Responsibilities**
There is no supervisory responsibility.
**IV. Qualifications**
The requirements listed below are representative of the
qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
**Education:** High School Diploma or GED (accredited), or in lieu
of, 6 months experience.
**Experience:** Six months of relevant experience (in addition to
education requirement).
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
+ Experience in Oil & Gas industry preferred
+ Valid Driver License preferred
+ TWIC card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
+ HAZWOPER Certification or the ability to obtain one within 30
days of starting
+ Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or
alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract
requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug
hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
+ Ability to work in confined spaces. Due to size of confined
working space, preferred height of 6 and under.
+ Ability to pass pre-employment physical and wear respirator, if
required for project
+ Must be willing to work around foul odors for extended periods of
time
+ Computer proficiency skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and
email
+ Must have the ability to read and understand established
environmental, operational and safety procedures.
+ Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions
for extended periods.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
+ Ability to climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials
weighing between 20 and 30 pounds
+ Ability to understand and follow directions
**V. Work Environment and Essential Functions**
Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and

+ This job is performed primarily in a confined space with a single
point of ingress/egress. Due to size of single point of
ingress/egress weight restrictions may apply for safety
reasons.
+ When not in confined area, work is performed outdoors
+ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety
glasses, earplugs, FR Tyvek coveralls, respirators and steel toe
boots are required at all times while performing primary function
due to regular exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals, liquids
and gases.
+ Regular exposure to extreme heat and cold dependent upon weather
conditions
+ Regular exposure to high sounds and noise levels
+ May be required to work in high places of at least 14 feet up to
40 feet, depending on the type of tank.
+ Required to exert physical effort in handling objects heavier
than 30 pounds frequently
+ Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves
dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements
frequently
+ Required to be on your feet for extended periods of time, work on
uneven surfaces and climb stairs
+ Travel up to 100% of time
+ An essential requirement is travel by plane, bus, and train based
on distance and scheduling. Reasonable Accommodations will be
considered.
+ Work long hours per project requirements
+ Will be required to work rotating shifts, including nights,
weekends and holidays.
